Platform terms

Clear rules for responsible platform use.

These public terms establish baseline rules for businesses, operators, and integrators using VialAPI. Customer purchases through a VialAPI-powered Store use that Store's own policies on its domain.

Contract review note. These terms are an operational draft and must complete legal-counsel review before they are used as the sole agreement for a paying customer.
Store customers. These platform-operator terms do not replace the seller's customer agreement. A VialAPI-powered Store must publish its own terms, privacy notice, refund/cancellation policy, and shipping policy before checkout can go live.

1. Eligibility and authority

VialAPI is provided to approved businesses and their authorized representatives. You must be legally able to enter agreements and have authority to act for the business, workspace, store, or integration you represent. Access is not transferable to another person or business without approval.

2. Accounts and credentials

Keep sign-in credentials, recovery methods, API keys, and webhook secrets confidential. Grant the minimum permissions necessary, promptly remove access that is no longer required, and notify VialAPI of suspected compromise. You are responsible for activity performed through credentials issued to your business unless the activity results from VialAPI’s failure to apply its stated controls.

3. Acceptable use

Do not bypass authorization, probe another account, interfere with platform availability, upload malicious content, misrepresent an identity or order, evade rate limits, reverse engineer protected systems, or use the service in violation of law or a governing commercial agreement. Automated access must use documented APIs and approved credentials.

4. Customer and business data

You may submit only data you are authorized to process and must provide required notices and obtain required permissions. Do not place passwords, payment-card data, or unnecessary sensitive information in free-text fields. VialAPI processes customer order data on behalf of the applicable business as described in the Privacy Policy and any signed data-processing terms.

5. Orders, pricing, and fulfillment

Catalog eligibility, quoted pricing, inventory indications, shipping estimates, review requirements, payment state, and fulfillment status may change before final acceptance. An order is not released to fulfillment until the platform’s required validation, review, and payment conditions are satisfied. Versioned account terms and order records provide the authoritative commercial snapshot.

6. Availability and changes

VialAPI may maintain, improve, suspend, or retire features while protecting existing records and providing reasonable migration or recovery paths. Preview, sandbox, beta, and roadmap capabilities are not production commitments unless a signed agreement says otherwise.

7. Suspension and termination

Access may be limited or suspended to protect customers, accounts, data, legal compliance, or platform integrity. On termination, outstanding payment, confidentiality, data-handling, audit, and other provisions that logically survive remain effective under the governing agreement.

8. Questions

Use the Support page for operating questions and privacy@vialapi.com for privacy questions. Do not send credentials or customer records in an initial message.
